PM Modi to current Swachh Shakti awards, inaugurate National Cancer Institute in Haryana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kurukhetra on Tuesday, where he presented the Swachh Shakti Award for women and the recognition of his efforts at Swachh Bharat Mission. About 15,000 women are expected to attend the Swachh Shakti Event.

The premier will also be attending the National Cancer Institute in Jhajjar and the ESIC Medical College and the Clinic at Faridabad. The cancer institute was built on 2,035 Crore and has 710 bets and 800 rooms.

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij stated that PM Modi emptied the foundation stone of the Shri Krishna Ayush University in Kurukshetra. The project is over 94 hectares and is constructed in an estimated cost of about Rs 475 Crore. PM Modes will also lay the foundations of Pundit Dayan Upadhyaya University of Health and Carnal and National Institute of Ayurveda in the Panchkula.

EU Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti, Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya, and Chief Minister Manohar Lal will also be present.
